Giving to Others

Our local food pantry was asking for donations so Mica and I set out to do our part.  I have developed a little bit of a hobby (ok obsession) with coupon shopping. I have been gathering up as many extras as I could to donate.  I was lucky enough to get most things free or at little cost with coupons.  Mica and I had a conversation about giving to others who cant afford to get stuff on their own and she decided that is just what all of the princesses do.  She was so excited to do just what Cinderella did in one of her story books. 

I Won!

We went to the end of the season sports banquet for Steve's school and during the evening they had a raffle for a few school items like hats, shirts, and sweatshirts.  Kayden, in true almost 2 year old fashion was wiggling and making lots of noise so I decided to go home early and let others enjoy the evening.  I was packing up and Mica asked what I was doing and I told her that we had to go. Tears formed in her eyes and she said "but Daddy told me they might call my name".   Thankfully at that moment they were ready to call names and give out the prizes.  I'm glad we stayed because the last name they called was Mica!  She got this sweatshirt for her prize.  Once the prize was in her happy little hands she was much more willing to go home - thank goodness!

Backyard Photo Shoot

Mica is a lot more willing to have her photo taken these days.  This was mid October when there were still some warm days.

I have to be quick with Kayden, he is not as willing as his sister to have his photo taken.

It's Learning Time!

Mica has a lesson on Bees and then how we can "Bee Nice"

 Our classroom/playroom/mommy's sewing room.  It hasn't yet become my sewing room, I need to work on some out of reach storage before I can add my mess to the room :) but for now it makes a good place to learn and play. 

When we moved there was no room in the Preschool so I thought we would do preschool at home.  It has been fun being the teacher for a little bit each day and so far Mica loves to "play school".  I hope she has the same attitude in a few weeks.

Who Wants to Sparkle?

I guess when you have a big sister you are bound to have a hair or make-up party.  Kayden was just happy to have the attention. He walked around all night with his pretty hair :)
