I was so excited to go pick
strawberries this summer with Mica. We have been reading a Strawberry Shortcake book and it has been one of her favorites. So I thought picking them would be really fun for her. Sigh, I should have known better. Because I had great plans of picking mounds of berries and bringing them home to make my very first batch of strawberry jam. Well, as you can see we brought home enough for a good snack. We did have fun and Mica did like it (for half an hour) so it was a good adventure. But next time I will have to do the serious berry picking on my own.
